I’m Amy Chandik Kundinger, De Pere City Council – District 1 Alderperson.
An active resident, I am in my second year as one of two De Pere District 1 alderpersons – serving on the Finance/Personnel Committee and the Board of Park Commissioners. Prior to my role as a De Pere Alderperson, I served three years on the Plan Commission and on the Strategic Visioning & Branding Committee. For over five years, I currently represent the De Pere Chamber of Commerce as an engaged board member.
I work at St. Norbert College as the Director of Business Engagement where I enjoy bringing area businesses and the college together in mutually beneficial collaborations. This work has brought me to an even stronger connection to our city with the successful 2018 launch of the annual State of De Pere luncheon on campus featuring then Mayor Mike Walsh. I continue to manage State of De Pere, this year featuring Mayor James Boyd and the transition to a digital format to reach a broader audience.
In my economic development role with the De Pere Chamber of Commerce, we created and implemented the De Pere Business Walk. I have participated in the annual event since it’s conception (held annually, this event gathers information from De Pere businesses so that the Chamber, Definitely De Pere and the City can best support area businesses.) My professional and volunteer efforts regularly partner with organizations like the New North, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, and The Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce for community events and talent pipeline development.
Work and committees aside, I love living in De Pere. Even more, I love District 1. The schools, parks, restaurants, and shops all make this neighborhood the perfect fit for us, and we can’t imagine living anywhere else.
De Pere City Council has representation from a citizen who is deeply invested in our community. Someone who is a parent with kids in our schools. Someone who works in De Pere. Someone who is honored to represent you.
